What Artisan does
Artisan (artisan.co) is a private AI sales-development company that builds “AI employees” designed to execute outbound revenue work end to end. Its flagship product is Ava, an autonomous AI Business Development Representative (BDR) that Artisan positions as replacing repetitive outbound tasks—prospecting, lead research, 1:1 outreach creation, multichannel campaign execution, handling replies, and booking meetings—rather than just assisting a human operator. Artisan’s platform is also oriented around “intent” and timing: Ava prioritizes and triggers outreach using buying signals (for example, funding rounds, leadership moves, hiring/new roles, and other signals Artisan describes), and it can be configured with approval gates and escalation rules.
