What Mila does

Mila (Mila – Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute) is a Montreal-based nonprofit research institute focused on advancing machine learning and deep learning through open-science research, education, and technology transfer. It describes itself as a “major university research centre” created through a collaboration between Université de Montréal and McGill University (with additional involvement from Polytechnique Montréal and HEC Montréal), and it positions its mission around producing frontier scientific advances while accelerating responsible adoption and societal benefit of AI.
