What Sana does
Sana (sanalabs.com / sana.ai) is an enterprise “knowledge and learning + agent” platform that combines AI-driven knowledge access with AI-native learning and content creation workflows. In its original independent form, Sana offered tools to (1) index and retrieve company knowledge through enterprise search and a conversational assistant, (2) create and manage learning content and programs, and (3) run interactive learning experiences (including live meeting recaps). Sana then expanded into general enterprise work automation via “Sana Agents,” positioning the system as an interface and governed layer for AI that can collaborate with multiple enterprise applications and take actions based on company knowledge and policies.
Strategically, Sana’s position changed materially after its acquisition: Sana entered into a definitive agreement with Workday in September 2025, and Workday completed the acquisition in November 2025. As a result, Sana is now operated as part of Workday’s enterprise AI platform and continues to be integrated into Workday experiences and customer-facing agent workflows (including integrations into Microsoft 365 Copilot and new Workday “Sana” agent offerings).
