What Unitree does
Unitree (official name: Yushu Technology Co., Ltd.) is a China-based robotics company focused on physical AI at scale, with a product portfolio spanning quadruped legged robots and humanoid robots. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Hangzhou, Unitree sells robots aimed at consumer/education and, increasingly, developer and industrial users who build and deploy embodied-AI systems on top of Unitree’s hardware. Its humanoid line includes the G1 (“Humanoid agent AI avatar”) and H1-class general-purpose humanoids, while its quadruped line includes models such as Go1/Go2 and industrial-capability variants such as As2. Unitree positions its platforms as developer-friendly and supports secondary development via interfaces intended to connect perception/motion/control stacks with higher-level AI models.
As of August 2026, Unitree is publicly listed on Shanghai’s STAR Market (ticker 688836), following its IPO-related debut in mid-August 2026. In addition to product iteration, Unitree’s recent public narrative emphasizes scaling robot manufacturing capacity and advancing “embodied intelligence” workflows (including collaboration with the broader AI/RL research ecosystem and reference workflows using NVIDIA’s robotics tooling).
