Works in Progress

Works in Progress is a long-form publishing project focused on “new and underrated ideas to improve the world,” covering topics such as economic growth, technology, policy, history, metascience, cities, medical research, aesthetics, transport, and energy. It was founded in 2020 and is now part of Stripe; Works in Progress states it has editorial independence from Stripe and, together with Stripe Press, aims to grow a broad publishing platform that extends beyond its core magazine to features including a public “Books in Progress” drafting tool and an audio offering (“Works in Progress Out Loud”).
