Black Forest Labs is a frontier AI research and product lab focused on “visual intelligence”—multimodal models and creative infrastructure for generating and editing images and video. The company’s core model family is FLUX (including FLUX.1, FLUX.2 variants, and FLUX 3), delivered through multiple deployment paths: a hosted developer/API platform, and separately licensed “open weights” for running on customers’ own infrastructure.
